Triton was founded in 1994. Originally located in Dunkirk, Maryland, the company provided various services to the federal government including software development, program support, and reselling.
In 1995, Triton acquired the Electron Technology Division of ITT, located in Easton, PA. The 158,000 square foot facility was designated specifically for the development and production of special purpose electron devices, including electron tubes, high voltage power supplies, and integrated sub-systems. The manufacturing of electron tubes has been performed at the Easton facility for over 30 years.
In 1996, Triton acquired the Gain Momentum software product from Sybase, Inc. which became the company's entry into commercial software. The product name was changed to RadBuilder, and development focussed on providing web-enablement and deployability for new and existing customer applications.
In 2010, Triton's headquarters relocated to its present location in Annapolis, Maryland. The company expanded business to support the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) at NAS Patuxent River, Maryland, MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina, and MCB Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
From 2005-2011, Triton expanded operations to support NSWC Panama City, Florida and opened a new office in Panama City. In addition, Triton expanded research & development by engaging with technology partners such as Liferay and ICESoft to provide advanced technology solutions to its customers.
Today, Triton continues to provide technology and service solutions that meet the ever changing needs of government and private sector customers.
